Project Manager - Job ID: 1534

Job Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing skilled GIS professionals on tackling complex geospatial problems for high-profile clients across the region. This leadership role is beyond consultancy-you'll coordinate the deployment of Esri software solutions and empower organizations through large-scale projects that demonstrate the potential of the ArcGIS platform and related technologies.

Location: Sharjah, UAE / Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Drive the implementation and delivery of products and services based on aggressive project requirements and schedules
  • Effectively communicate business efforts among project teams during all phases of solution development including requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, test, and deployment
  • Define and maintain project scope, cost, and schedule for multiple contracts
  • Manage contract deliverables through the application of planning, tracking, change control, and risk management
  • Oversee activities of multiple projects and proposals simultaneously, including supervision of project teams and project managers
  • Coordinate with GISTEC's marketing and sales teams to drive revenue tied to product development and services support
  • Drive product definition, align product and business goals, and plan a multi-release product roadmap
  • Work with program leads to understand overall business activities, workflows, and customer needs.

Education, Experience & Skills Desired (but not limited to):

  • Bachelor's or master's in operations management, project management, Geospatial/Geoinformatics technology, computer science, or related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of leadership experience focused on engaging others in the delivery and execution of technical solutions and service deliverables
  • Worked for at least three (3) large and complex Enterprise GIS/IT projects as a project manager / GIS team leader.
  • Deep background in all aspects of software engineering, solution architecture and development life cycle
  • Proven ability to collaborate across project plans and guiding teams through successful project execution
  • Experience with desktop, client/server, and web-based applications and architectures.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience of effective leadership of people and programs.
  • Ability to accurately match customer requirements with appropriate Esri technologies
  • Self-motivated, proactive, creative, and team oriented.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple activities/projects simultaneously.
  • Work onsite at customer premises as well as in GISTEC offices.
  • Having GCC / UAE work experience is a major plus
  • Having a UAE driving license is a major plus.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
  • Expert in the usage of MS Project
  • An understanding of the range of GIS and information management software products, from desktop to server applications and development tools
  • Working knowledge of database utilization including the use of quality assurance procedures, database management, and data conversion
  • Experience utilizing Esri software in a professional environment

Technical Advisor - Job ID: 1533

Job Description:

The Technical Advisor will be responsible for supporting GISTEC's business partners and key customers in defining and meeting their technical and business objectives.

Location: Sharjah, UAE / Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Promote and align Esri's technology platform within customer (or partner) organizations
  • Collaborate with GISTEC's sales team to identify and plan for customers' business and technical goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for Esri customers
  • Develop and maintain a network of relevant relationships across Esri to meet role responsibilities and objectives
  • Maintain strong insider knowledge of customer requirements, release levels, applications, computing platforms, and GIS-related issues

Job Description:

The Support Analyst requires a unique combination of collaborative, technical and customer service skills. In this consultative support role, you will learn about the latest Esri technology while providing timely, expert assistance to customer end-users by phone, e-mail and onsite.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Provide high-quality technical support to end users of Esri software to effectively diagnose and resolve incidents, while making a positive impression

Senior Solutions Architect - Job ID: 1501

Job Description:

The Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for planning the direction and overseeing the operation of a high performing software development team. This individual will collaborate directly with the executive management team and decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support all engineering projects. Will be responsible for design, development and implementation of software as the head of the GIS software development team.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience in software development preferably from a large systems integration firm.
  • Conversant in C#, ASP.NET, SQL and Java technologies and should be able to provide architectural guidance on both platforms, owning the solutions and application architecture in entirety
  • Expertise in Esri ArcGIS Server Technologies and GIS Architecture
  • Responsible for designing, developing, analyzing, testing, documenting, releasing and supporting GIS applications.
  • Define customer requirements, translate them into new software designs and contribute significantly in building software releases containing these new capabilities
  • Manage the development staff to meet deadlines and deliver a high quality product.

The Senior Systems Analyst will be primarily responsible for collecting the requirements of critical GIS/IT projects, document them using standard methodologies and works together with the design team to create software and database specifications that will create a high-quality solution for the customer. The System Analyst will also act as a technical account lead with key customers.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Minimum 5-7 years progressive experience in software development preferably from a large systems integration firm.
  • Will be responsible for collecting requirements, documenting, analyzing and designing Enterprise systems.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Design and develop user assistance documents that help customers learn how to use customized GIS applications
